Chinese New Year 2025 took place on 15 and 16 February at Jebel Hafit Desert Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Al Ain, in collaboration with the Embassy of China in the UAE and the China Cultural Centre. The event reflected Al Ain’s designation as Gulf Tourism Capital 2025 and highlighted the UAE’s role as a cultural bridge and global hub. It celebrated the city’s commitment to sustainable tourism and offered guests a serene, immersive experience where heritage, culture, and nature beautifully converged.
Themed around Chinese heritage in harmony with Emirati nature and cultural traditions, the program featured classical music performances (piano, saxophone, and flute), traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, and showcases of Chinese art and cuisine. Held in honor of the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and resilience, the event brought communities together in a spirit of renewal and cultural appreciation. Through cross-cultural dialogue and artistic expression, the festival fostered meaningful connections between the Chinese and Emirati communities in one of the UAE’s most iconic natural landscapes.
